Positive India: PM Narendra Modi, acting on the recommendations of CVC, removed director of Central Bureau of Investigation Alok Verma. Yesterday, Special Director of CBI Rakesh Asthana was removed from CBI. At midnight of 23rd October, unkown intelligence officers raided and sealed the offices of CBI Director Alok Verma and Special Director Rakesh Asthana. It is for the first time that top echelons of CBI has been removed. In fact, CVC has recommended for Compulsory Leave. The ouster of both the top officers are also witnessed from the angle of controversial Rafale deal. For damage control,PM Narendra Modi has deputed NSA Ajit Doval which resulted in the surgery of CBI.
