NHMMI Organises Walkathon For Operated Patients

Positive India:Raipur: On World Osteoporosis Day,NHMMI Raipur has organized “Walkathon By Operated Patients” to give the message that Joint Replacement operation can give independent life to patients,providing they undergo walks and other exercises as prescribed by their orthopaedic surgeons.
It was unique Walkathon in the sense that for the first time patients who had undergone Total Knee Replacement and Total Hip Replacement walked briskly for half kilometre and shown the world that with right operation and right treatment, they can walk and lead normal life. Those who were operated upon and taking treatments for the last five years participated and gave the message that Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis can be treated and cured.
This Walkathon was lead by Dr.Ankur Gupta-Orthopedic sugeon with a theme “Walk To Fight Bone & Joint Pain” and Vineet Saini-the facility director of NHMMI,under whose guidance, the institute is spreading the Awareness of Ailments among masses as per the vision of Dr.Devi Prasad Shetty-the chairman of NH Health.
