IMA Will Organize CME On Common Dilemma In Cardiac Patients

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) Raipur is organising the first of the monthly Continuing Medical Education (CME) Seminar on Saturday 16th, January 2021, through its academic wing the Academy of Medical Sciences (IMA-AMS). The recently elected president of IMA Dr.Vikas Agrawal said that IMA propagates the continuous dissipation of knowledge and skill to its members and these monthly meetings on a particular theme are a way to achieve the goal. The secretary Dr.Asha Jain elucidated that on second saturday of each month, a thematic discussion on one particular subject by speakers of national repute will be held for IMA members to update their knowledge. The topics for discussion will be intimated to the members through press and electronic media. The chairman of Academy of Medical Sciences Dr.Professor Alok.C Agrawal further added that the society at large is going to be benefited with enhancement of knowledge of IMA members and the academy subserves this purpose of IMA. The organising secretary for IMA-AMS Dr.Smit Shrivastava introduced the theme of discussion for this as “Common Dilemma in Cardiac patients”. Dr.Professor G. S Wander Head of Department of Cardiology at DMC Medical College Ludhiana will be lecturing on the cardiac issues and care for Corona recovered patients. Dr.Pranay Anil Jain from Ram Krishna Care hospital would discuss the common question of which patients need coronary angioplasty and which patients need open heart bypass surgery. Following a similar theme, Dr. Kshitij Dubey senior minimal invasive cardiac surgeon from Apollo Hospital,Indore will be discussing the decision tree for patients to undergo minimal access bypass surgery and open heart bypass. Dr.Krishna Kant Sahu- Assistant Professor at Advanced Cardiac Institute of Medical College Raipur will talk on Recognition and Management of chest injuries.
The IMA state president Dr.Mahesh Sinha congratulated the newly constituted team for the excellent selection of relevant topic and wished a grand success to the event.
