Supreme Court of India gave biggest relief to Chhattisgarh CM Dr. Raman Singh in Augusta Wasteland purchase scam. Congress leader T.S.Singh Deo and advocate Prashant Bhushan have filed PIL in Supreme Court to have SIT inquiry against Dr.Raman Singh for kickback given to his son Abhishek Singh.
The S.C. rejected the PIL, on the ground that there was transparency in purchase and state govt has right to purchase helicopter of its choice.
By this rejection, opposition party Congress has lost one of its biggest allegation against Dr.Raman Singh, which it ever wanted to take a political milage in 2018 state election. Dr.Raman Singh has termed it a blessing on the eve of Mahashivratri.
