School Education Minister of Chhattisgarh inaugurated ‘Jigyasa-Knowledge for Life” project today. Under this project nearly 800 teachers and 20 thousand students of selected 200 primary and middle schools of Raipur, Rajnandgaon and Durg districts of the state will be provided easy access to Digital Education. Today, MoU for ‘Jigyasa’ Projects implemented by Vodafone Foundation in partnership with IPE Global Centre of Knowledge Development (IPECKD) was signed in the presence of School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam. On the occasion, Director Public Instructions S Prakash and Amita Sharma from IPE CKD were also present.
Director Public Instructions S Prakash informed that digital infrastructure in the schools selected under Jigyasa Project would be upgraded and multimedia devices would be provided. Vodafone Foundation will provide teachers the access to an online integrated platform called ‘Gurushala’, which has varied digital content for the teachers’ self-paced capacity development. Through its multi-linguistic scholarship platform, Vodafone Foundation will also support the students by providing them with information about key scholarships which the students can avail.
