Positive India: Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today expressed his happiness over the Chhattisgarh State bagging fifteen National Awards in the implementation of various projects relating to villages, poor and farmers in New Delhi. He added that this is a proud moment for the State. Chief Minister said that the Union Government schemes relating to poor, villages and farmers had bagged the prestigious National Awards for their effective implementation in the State. Dr. Raman Sigh congratulated the citizens of the State and Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mr. Ajay Chandrakar, officers and employees concerned with the Department.

It may be mentioned here that the State had bagged National awards for Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’sRurban Mission and Prime Minister (Rural) Housing Project, Prime Minister Rural Roads Project and Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA). Union Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development Mr. Narendra Singh Tomar distributed the National Awards in New Delhi.

The senior officers of the Chhattisgarh State Government received the prestigious awards at the hands of Union Minister Mr. Tomar. He said that it is a proud moment for Chhattisgarh State that it had bagged fifteen National Awards at a time. Union Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development Mr. Ramkrupal Yadav was also present. The Union Minister who was the chief guest presented the awards to Chhattisgarh State Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Department Mr. R. P. Mandal, Secretary Mr. P. C. Misra and Director Panchayat and Rural Development Institute Mr. M. K. Tyagi. The Union Minister Mr. Tomar congratulated the State Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh and Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mr. Ajay Chandrakar and officers and employees of the department.

The  Officials informed that the State Government had laid down 1700 kms of all-weather roads in hostile and inhospitable terrain during the past fiscal year.

The officials said that Chhattisgarh State had bagged six awards in five sectors in the Prime Minister Housing (Rural) Project. The performance of Chhattisgarh was the Best in the entire country. The State bagged the top honours in this field. Kondagaon district bagged the Second Award and Dhamtari district Third prize in this category. Development block Sarangarh district Raigarh had bagged the second award in the Development blocks category.

The officials said that Chhattisgarh State had bagged second award in the ‘Mistri Training’ and first award in the Management Information System Aadhaar seeding. The officials said that four lakh houses had already been built by the first week of September against a target of seven lakh and 88 thousand houses in the three years since 2016-2017.

The officials said that the State had bagged the prestigious Rurban Mission award at the National level and the project was launched by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi on 21st February 2016 at village Kurrubhata divisional block Dongarhgarh district Rajnandgaon. The State had bagged the First Award in this sector today. Under the MGNREGA the Stage had bagged the First Award in the ‘Barefoot Technicians’ category and second award in the ‘Jio Tagging’ sector. Village Nimora-based Thakur Pyarelal Panchayat and Rural Training Institute and Jashpur bagged the awards for excellent work on Barefoot Technicians’ group.

State NRUM Director Mr.Nilesh Shirsagar , Chief Executive Officer of State Rural Roads Development Authority  Mr. Rakesh Chaturvedi, Panchayat Director Mr. Jeetendra Shukla, Diector of Prime Minister Housing Project (Rural) Mr. Amrut Vikas Topno, Chief Executive Officer of  Raipur Zilla Panchayat Mr. Deepak Soni,   Chief Executive Officer of  Jashpur Zilla Panchayat Mr. Kuldeep Sharma, Kondagaon and Raigarh Zilla panchayats CEO Mr.Sanjay Kannauj and Mr. Chandan Tripati and several senior officers were also present.
