Breaking:India Will Launch First COVID-19 Test Kit Tomorrow
IIT Delhi will launch first Indigenous COVID-19 test kit.

Positive India:New Delhi;14July 20:
India will launch the first Indigenous COVID-19 testing kit tomorrow. IIT Delhi has developed this Corona testing kit.
This COVID-19 testing kit is based on Probe Free method. IIT Delhi has used Comparative Sequence Analysis by identifying unique regions that is short streches of RNA sequence in COVID-19 and SARS COV-2 genome.
As Prof. Vivekanandan told to PTI,”These unique regions are not present in other human Coronaviruses, providing an opportunity to detect COVID-19. ”
Prof Vivekanandan further added,”Primer sets, targetting unique regions in the spike proteins of COVID-19 were designed and tested using RT-PCR.
The primers designed by the IITians specifically bind to the regions conserved in over 200 fully sequenced COVID-19 genomes.
IIT Delhi has given non exclusive open licences to all companies for commercialising this testing kit with price rider of Rs.500 only.
The first brand Corosure will be launched tomorrow by Newtech with capacity of 2 millions tests per month.
