Chief Minister Mr. Baghel inaugurated Sargavan Adarsh Gauthan

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated model cowshed in village Sargavan of Sarguja district. He inspected the construction work under the scheme and also had a look on products manufactured by local self-help groups. On the occasion, Chief Minister held a chaupal and patiently heard the grievances of villagers. He also informed them about the importance of Narva, Garva, Ghurva and Badi scheme, and took thier suggestions. He informed that this scheme would prove to be a milestone in progress of rural economy. This would not only provide better nourishment to the cattle but would also facilitate production of compost fertilizers and cowdung. Cow urine is being used in manufacturing of various medicines. The excessive use of chemical fertilizers is leading to fatal diseases such as cancer. On the other hand, expensive chemical fertilizers are adding to the high input cost.

Cheif Minister Mr. Baghel said that compost fertilizers will not only save us from the adverse effects of chemicals, but will also create employment opportunities. It will also boost crop production and positively impact the environment of villages. Chief Minister invited suggestions from villagers on Narva, Garva, Ghuruva and Badi scheme. Sarpna Bairagi of Sargavan village suggested construction of toilets in cowsheds for women. Mr. Baghel appreciated the suggestion and gave instructions to apply it in construction of cowsheds across the state. He asked the people from other villagers to take the initiative for cowshed construction in thier villages, and said that the cowsheds should be constructed at undisputed places. Health Minister Mr. TS Singhdeo said that under the scheme, cowsheds are being constructed in villages so that self-help groups get financially empowered. He added that these cowsheds will have all the facilities for cattle.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister distributed agricultural goods worth nearly Rs 4 lakh. This includes distribution of sprayer pumps to 20 beneficiaries, vegetable minikits to 90 beneficiaries. On the occasion, School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam, Sarguja Development Authority Chairman Mr. Khelsai Singh, Deputy Chairman Duo Mr. Vrahaspat Singh and Mr. Gulab Kamro, Sitapur MLA Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat, Lundra MLA Dr Pritam Ram, Chief Secretary Mr. Sunil Kujur, Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Department Mr. RP Mandal, Joint Secretary of Chief Minister Mr. Taman Singh Sonwani, Sarguja Division Commissioner Mr. AK Toppo, Inspector General of Police Mr. KC Agrawal, Collector Dr Saransh Mittar, CEO Jila Panchayat Mrs. Namrata Gandhi and other public representatives along with a large number of villagers were present.
