“Protecting Your Children As Parents “
Your child is born like any other human being curious to explore this world.
Positive India:Raipur:Roma Kaushik:
“DON’T PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN SO MUCH THAT THE IDEA OF WALKING ALONE HAUNTS THEM. BECAUSE PROTECTION IS GOOD, OVERPROTECTION IS NOT.”Your child is born like any other human being curious and ever ready to explore the surrounding that he is a part of. Let them explore the world with their curiosity. Experiences will teach them everything which family and institutions cannot. In this way, they will develop confidence that will be with them life long. On the other hand, if you restrict them it would not only affect their personality but also kill their curiosity which later in life leads to uncreative dull adults.
Protecting your child from any danger is your duty as a parent. Preparing them beforehand of possible dangers is your responsibility. But denying them to do something in the first place is like clipping the wings of the young birds learning to fly.
Lessons in life are best learned through experiences; no books or theoretical matter can replace the lessons learned by doing something practically.
Be the guidance that your child needs, be supportive and encouraging. Let them know that you’ll be a person who would not be judgemental for them irrespective of the situation.Raise Independent Children.Independence is not something that your child can gain on his own. He has neither the perspective, experience, nor the skills to develop independence separately from you. Rather, it is a gift you give your child that he will cherish and benefit his entire life.
You can provide your child with several essential ingredients for gaining independence:
• Give your children love and respect.
• Show confidence in your children’s capabilities.
• Teach them that they have control over their lives.
• Provide guidance and then give them the freedom to make their own decisions.
• Let them know that you are always available for support.
