Naxal Breaking: 29 Naxalites Including Top Naxal Commander Shankar Rao Killed

In a major breakthrough, BSF, DRG and Chhattisgarh Police killed 29 Naxalites, and top naxal commander Shankar Rao in an encounter in the Abujhmaad jungle of Kanker district in Chhattisgarh today. In this encounter naxal commander Lalita,and notorious naxal leader Ramder have been also killed.

Both Shankar Rao and Lalita were having a reward of Rs 25 lacs each on their heads.
It was one of the largest operations by security forces in Chhattisgarh, and as many as 29 Naxalites have been killed and their bodies were recovered. AK 47 rifle, INSAS, SLR/Carbine, .303 rifles and huge quantities of arms ammunitions recovered from the spot by the security forces after the encounter.

Three security personnel, including two Border Security Force jawans and one personnel of the state police’s District Reserve Guard (DRG), have suffered bullet injuries but they are out of danger.

This is the first operation in Chhattisgarh in which a large number of Naxals have been eliminated with no casualties from the security forces’ side.

“On April 16, a search operation by a joint team comprising of Kanker DRG and BSF was launched in the Chhottebetiya police station limit area in Kanker district. At around 2 pm, there was an exchange of fire between naxalites and security forces near Binagunda-Koragutta jungles of the Chhottebetiya Police station area,” Chhatisgarh police said.

Modi Govt has made an action plan to eliminate Naxalites from the Indian soil on the same pattern as terrorists have been eliminated from Jammu and Kashmir. Following the same action plan BSF, DRG and Chhattisgarh Police have eliminated 29 Naxalites just before the poll day on 19th April.
