PM Modi Cancels “Punish Journalist” Directive On Fake News By Smriti Irani

PM Narendra Modi once again excercised his power and cancelled the “Directive” issued by Smriti Irani of I&B Munistry on “Fake News” by journalists. PM was very much upset by the issuance of such kind of draconian directive which could gag the media. Moreover, neither PMO nor PM was consulted on this this issue; and the damage was done.

As per directive issued by I&B Mninistry, journalists found of spreading “fake news” their accreditation was to be sudpended for 6 months. And if the “fake news” happens for the 2nd time, jounalists accreditation was to be cancelled permanently.

PM Narendra Modi has directed that all such cases on ” Fake News Issues” will be handled by Press Council of India.
