Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar today met Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel at his residence office and handed over a cheque of Rs 5791.71 crore to him, which was sanctioned by Government of India to Chhattisgarh under CAMPA Fund. In the meeting, Forest Minister informed that 1860.91 crore have been sanctioned for compensational afforestation, Rs 24 crore 49 lakh has been sanctioned for catchment area treatment plan, Rs 302 crore 76 lakh has been sanctioned for integrated wildlife management scheme. Besides, Rs 3749 crore 63 lakh has been sanctioned under net expectancy value and Rs 482 crore 91 lakh under interest fund. The sanctioned funds would be utilized for compensational afforestation, forest development, productivity enhancement of forests, forest conservation related works, wildlife management and conservation, groundwater conservation, biodiversity, infrastructure development etc. On the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. RP Mandal, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Mr. Rakesh Chaturvedi and CEO CAMPA Mr. V Shrinivas Rao was also present.
