Positive India: Chhattisgarh Police has got a huge success in killing 15 naxalites in Konta in Sukma district. DM Awasthi IPS has told that DRG and Chhattisgarh police laid an ambush for maoists present in the area as per specific intelligence inputs. In an encounter 15 naxalites have been killed. One male naxal carrying a reward of Rs.5 lacs have been arrested. One female maoist has been arrested with bullet injury in her leg. 16 guns, ammunition and many IEDs have been recovered from the naxals.
Security forces had specific information and they raided the hideout. Hundreds of naxals have managed to escape.
Just 2 days back Chhattisgarh CM Dr.Raman Singh has declared that naxals should either surrender or be ready to get killed in encounter. This very encounter is seen as a stamp on CM’s declaration to eliminate naxalites.
